I have 2 new boards that both work the same way on a UNO
If I connect a NTSC Video-in, the OverlayDemo works great.

However, if I remove the Video-in and there is no video out.

I thought I could generate video out without video in.
    Is this wrong?

I moved ch sync-jumper to D9. No difference.
I moved the Output-Select switch and no difference.

What is wrong with my picture?

Yes, the Video Experimenter can output white pixels on a black background with the jumper in the D9 position. But the Video Overlay Demo requires an input to process, and that’s why you don’t see anything. What do you expect the the overlay demo to output if there is no input? Am I missing something?

We wanted to monitor the video and,
    when the video went out,
put up a message saying something to the effect of
    “No video source connected”

I have since found that if we don’t turn on “overlay”, then the text works without video.

    Problem solved !
    thanks.
