Battery question

Hello,

I just received my Defusable Clock. Thank you!
My skills in electronics are very low so sorry if this question seems dumb. I didn’t find the answer on the forum.
I really need to have it work by battery. It is for a secret agent activity so I can’t have it plug to the wall. So, how do you plug C, D or whatever is best batteries to the clock?? I can locate the 9V plug on the clock but I can’t figure out how to hook up the batteries.

Just connect six C or D batteries in series. The ground connection is the solder connection directly underneath the power connector, and the + connection is the connection at the “end” of the connector.
