    Hello,
In my next project I would need to overlay some data on video stream, and I came across the Video Experimenter. For this application it is vital that the video stream from the camera is displayed with minimal delay on a LCD screen.
First I thought of using Raspberry Pi, but composite video input is not possible and the composite to usb converters cause a lag of atleast a second, which is unacceptable for this application.

I have a camera, which is connected to a LCD display. Now I would like to add the Video Experimenter between these two to do the text overlaying. So my question is, can the text overlay be done to a composite video without causing a noticeable delay in the playback?

There is no delay with the Video Experimenter because the video input passes straight through to the output. It is directly connected.
