Not in sync message

I get the following message when uploading the Video Frame Capture sketch:
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x30

I have video from my camera on my small TFT color monitor, but I don’t get a captured image overlayed. I try adjusting with the long stem pot. I have Output Select in overlay. I have Sync Select jumper on V input.

I’m new to Arduino and VE. Any ideas on why I don’t see a captured image?

It sounds like you aren’t even able to put the overlay sketch on the arduino, so that’s why you don’t see the overlay. The error indicates that you have not chosen the correct board or serial port. Check your settings in the Arduino IDE under the Tools menu.
