    I recently bought an assembled video experimenter board from cool components.

    I found that a number of the power connections are not soldered so the shield does not connect any power to the next board.

    Also the flux does not appear to have been cleaned of the board.

    Tried to add a picture but “the board attachment quota has been reached”

    tim,
    I’m very disappointed to hear that. I provide only kits to Cool Components, and they use their own assembly service. Have you contacted Cool Components about this? I will also bring this to their attention.

    Every assembled board purchased on the nootropic design web site is soldered by me and tested before it is shipped.

    I have adjusted the silly attachment quota settings, so you may be able to attach a picture now.

    Thx for bringing this issue to my attention.

    Tks Michael,

    Ive contacted cool compoents to point this out to them but feel free to pass on this picture 🙂 They havent got back to me yet! This is as received. You can see the general state of the board Hmmm what do you think? 🙂

    Ive soldered the offending pins myself!

    Now its working I have to say that I really like this board! In my view using a sync separator is the way to go! I’m not so hot at programming arduino’s yet but with the help of your great forum and info, ive now got it displaying voltage, current, mAH used, and elapsed time! The sync is rock solid! 🙂

    Ive used this code

    // Enable external interrupt INT0 on pin 2 with falling edge.
    EIMSK = _BV(INT0);
    EICRA = _BV(ISC01);

    Tks again Michael and good luck with this shield. Is great :)[attachment=0:nhrg9mae]_ve.jpg[/attachment:nhrg9mae]

    tim, thanks for the image and the feedback. I’ve forwarded a link to this thread to the owner of Cool Components.
    Have fun!
