    Hello,
I’d like to confirm if Video Experimenter is able to generate simple message on top of either black screen, or noise, or at least keep video output sync when input signal is lost?

I need it to keep my monitor running when I loose signal from video receiver from RF plane. Unfortunately, when receiver looses connection with plane (because of distance for example), it drops down sync or signal at all, and most (if not all) of modern monitors displays some kind of message for second, and turns off. Bringing them back on when video input is available again takes couple of seconds, which is more than enough to crash the plane (I need to turn it back blind already, so every second counts).

    Thanks in advance,
    Marek

No, it can’t because the sync is part of the signal. In overlay mode, the sync comes from the original signal. The Arduino can generate its own sync signal when the switch is set to “sync only”, but that requires a switch movement which I doubt will help in your case. Sorry.
