Tv output not available

Hi I purchased the tv experimenter and notice that my tv setup does not use cable box. I split the coax using a splitter. The one goes to an HDTV and thenother goes to cable modem for internet connection.
On my TV there is bunch of plugs but none actually says output so i am baffled on how to connect your the video experimenter.
Any suggestion on how to get video out to the video in port on the experimenter board?

One option would be to use an old VCR. Connect your cable input to the VCR and use the RCA video output from the VCR.
