    Hi,

    As the subject says, is it possible to use more than one shield? Specifically four simultaneously? Or extend the shield to eight digits? I have a project that needs two lines of eight digits each line.

    Yes, you can connect multiple shields to one Arduino. See this article:

    There are enough output pins on the Arduino to drive 4 shields, but you would want to use a large voltage regulator to provide power to the shields. The Arduino regulator would not handle the load well.

    Yes you can use more than one digital shield because i have used it.
