Is it possible I damaged the atmega by accidentally trying to upload with the FTDI adapter backwards? There’s a small scratch on the bottom of the board with some of the copper showing.

I just resoldered the joints on all the components you listed. Before and after, while connected w/ the FTDI adapter, the board has power and the preloaded software comes up on my TV. I already reconfigured the adapter’s hardware ID and ran another loopback test which was successful, but there is still no response while uploading.

EDIT: Fixed! I had the adapter backwards from the beginning.

There is only one serial port that it automatically registers under and I still get the same no response error. I just tried a loopback test which was successful but the hackvision itself still won’t respond while uploading.

I bought the kit a little over 2 weeks ago (v1), and I tried setting the board on both Uno and Duemilanove. Should the adapter register on the device manager as a USB serial adapter?
