Hi everybody,
I tried to use such a microphone as input. I even tried different types of such microphones and set gain to max. Is anyone having a clue why? Do only dynamic microphones work on the input jack?

I’ve used electret microphones with no problem. It needs to be powered, of course. See https://nootropicdesign.com/projectlab/2013/07/05/electret-microphone-audio-hacker/

The microphone you are linking to above will not work because it has 4 conductors on the plug. that is a TRRS plug. The audio Hacker needs an input with 3 conductors, TRS (tip, ring, sleeve).

I’m assuming the sleeve is ground, but where does go the 5V and signal go? thank you

The other microphone lead goes to the input tip. Sleeve is ground, tip is 5V+signal.
